Introduction to the Unix timestamp conversion tool

Unix timestamp converter: converts a Unix timestamp to standard Beijing time, and converts standard Beijing time to a UNIX timestamp;

What is a Unix timestamp (Unix timestamp): the total number of seconds elapsed since 00:00:00 GMT on January 1, 1970 (08:00:00 Beijing Time) up to now.

PHP example of Unixtime usage:

Current timestamp:$time = time(); Convert to Beijing time:$datetime = date('Y-m-d H:i:s',$time); Convert to timestamp:$unixtime = strtotime($datetime);(www.pcjson.com)

1. In different programming languages or databases, ways to get the current Unix timestamp:

PHP time()
Java time
JavaScript Math.round(new Date().getTime()/1000)
getTime() returns a value in milliseconds
.NET / C# time = (DateTime.Now.ToUniversalTime().Ticks - 621355968000000000) / 10000000
MySQL SELECT unix_timestamp(now())
Perl time
PostgreSQL SELECT extract(time FROM now())
Python First import time, then time.time()
Ruby Get the Unix timestamp: Time.now or Time.new
Show the Unix timestamp: Time.now.to_i
SQL Server SELECT DATEDIFF(s, '1970-01-01 00:00:00', GETUTCDATE())
Unix / Linux date +%s
VBScript / ASP DateDiff("s", "01/01/1970 00:00:00", Now())

2. In different programming languages or databases, converting normal time → Unix timestamp:

PHP mktime(hour, minute, second, day, month, year)
Java long datetime = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss").parse("01/01/1970 01:00:00");
JavaScript var commonTime = new Date(Date.UTC(year, month - 1, day, hour, minute, second))
MySQL SELECT unix_timestamp(time)
Time format: YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS or YYMMDD or YYYYMMDD
Perl First use Time::Local, then my $time = timelocal($sec, $min, $hour, $day, $month, $year);
PostgreSQL SELECT extract(datetime FROM date('YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS'));
Python First import time, then int(time.mktime(time.strptime('YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS', '%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S')))
Ruby Time.local(year, month, day, hour, minute, second)
SQL Server SELECT DATEDIFF(s, '1970-01-01 00:00:00', datetime)
Unix / Linux date +%s -d"Jan 1, 1970 00:00:01"
VBScript / ASP DateDiff("s", "01/01/1970 00:00:00", datetime)

3. In different programming languages or databases, a Unix time stamp (Unix timestamp) is converted to ordinary time (year-month-day hour:minute:second):

PHP date('r', Unix timestamp)
Java String datetime = new java.text.SimpleDateFormat("dd/MM/yyyy HH:mm:ss").format(new java.util.Date(Unix timestamp * 1000))
JavaScript First var unixTimestamp = new Date(Unix timestamp * 1000), then commonTime = unixTimestamp.toLocaleString()
Linux date -d @Unix timestamp
MySQL from_unixtime(Unix timestamp)
Perl First my $time = Unix timestamp, then my ($sec, $min, $hour, $day, $month, $year) = (localtime($time))[0,1,2,3,4,5,6]
PostgreSQL SELECT TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE 'time' + Unix timestamp) * INTERVAL '1 second';
Python First import time, then time.gmtime(Unix timestamp)
Ruby Time.at(Unix timestamp)
SQL Server DATEADD(s, Unix timestamp, '1970-01-01 00:00:00')
VBScript / ASP DateAdd("s", Unix timestamp, "01/01/1970 00:00:00")

How to use

This tool belongs to the “Text processing” category.

  1. 1Paste the text into the main box; comparison tools give you a left and a right pane.
  2. 2Choose the operation: count, replace, deduplicate, convert between simplified and traditional Chinese, add pinyin, or change case and width.
  3. 3Copy the result back. Most operations update instantly, so you can tweak and re-run.

Your input is processed locally in the browser whenever possible. We do not store it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the word count count characters or words?

Chinese is counted per character; English is reported both per character and per whitespace-separated word.

How long can the text be?

Bounded by the browser and the request size. Tens of thousands of characters are routine; split a whole book into chunks.

Why is the simplified/traditional conversion wrong?

Many characters map one-to-many and need context. The tool uses common mappings — proof-read proper nouns.
